Is your corporate lifestyle playing havoc with your love life and plans of marriage? This Christmas, there is hope in sight as a special brunch for single corporates is in the offing. It has been organised by Footloose No More, a two-year old online community for singles, after they noticed that 50% of their members were corporates.
Footloose No More will help singles from the corporate
world to meet potential life partners
"People with corporate jobs often complain that they have no time to meet anyone. They are busy working over time and travelling; since their job is stable they do not feel the lack of companionship till a later age. They get set in a certain lifestyle thanks to their disposable income.

But when they want to settle down, they are not sure how to go about it. Also since they hang out with their colleagues most of the time, they do not meet new people frequently," says Varshaa Agnihotri, who co-founded Mumbai-based Footloose No More with her brother Abhishek.
She adds that office romances, while common, are frowned upon by organisations and often require one of the partners to opt for employment elsewhere. To resolve these issues, Agnihotri feels that there needs to be events or theme-specific meets organised for such people.
"After all, matrimonial sites classify people based on religion and caste; in our case we prefer to club them as per common interests. A spouse who belongs to the same field as you might simplify things as they will be familiar with your lifestyle and the demands of the job," she adds.
Agnihotri is hoping that the event is a success like their earlier event the single parents' meet-up.
Next up, they are planning to host a creative people's meet-up where writers, poets, artists, singers and dancers will get to interact with each other in an informal setting.
Interested participants need to register on their website and once approved, you will be given the address and other details to attend the event. Identification proof and visiting cards are compulsory as well for identity proof.
"The main aim of Footloose No More is to offer hope to singles out there that they will find their life partner, irrespective of age and occupation.

If you don't find your partner, you will at least make new friends with interests similar to you. We (Abhishek and myself) are the most obvious examples of what we preach," validates Agnihotri, while recalling how the siblings found their match among the community members.
