There couldn't have been a more appropriate song playing in the background as my hairstylist tried to untangle my notoriously curly hair: Zombie by the Cranberries. I imagined every eye in the salon, piercing into my soul and demanding - how dare you come to us with such frizzy, tangled hair! But that was precisely why I was there. There being the Bandra outlet of Juice. I was there to review their new treatment: the Moroccan Oil Blow Out.

Using imported argan oil, the 45-minute ritual involves having the oil applied on your hair, while it is still damp, post a shampoo and conditioning treatment. The oil is made from the nut of the argan tree that is grown almost exclusively in Morocco. The rare oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids, but feels surprisingly light on the hair.

If you are looking for a 'tel maalish' or some basic TLC, this is not the right choice. Shampoo, condition, rub some oil into the strands and a quick blow dry (just scrunching in my case) and you're good to go.

My hair felt softer and a little shinier, just like after any nice, long shampoo. The 'magic of Morocco' that will 'revitalise your hair like no other oil in the world', however, seemed elusive.u00a0
