Tomorrow, head to Blue Frog to listen to Gospel and Soul music performed by Dominique and Friends
This Sunday, the band Dominique and Friends will bring a special set list of celebratory, soulful music that promises to uplift your spirit to the popular Lower Parel hangout. The Gospel and Soul music performance comes back to the Frog, for the second time, within a span of two months, by popular demand. 
Dominique Cerejo
There are very few bands that play Gospel music, admits Dominique Cerejo, the lead vocalist of the band who has recently started performing songs from this genre. Dominique and Friends includes seven musicians, five singers and a guest singer.
Gospel music is defined as music that is written to express personal, spiritual or a communal belief regarding Christian life. According to Dominique, "It is a spiritual experience." The songs are about love and joy and she hopes people take away a positive feeling from the performance.
Though this performance is a re-run, the band has added quite a few original numbers.u00a0 Apart from Southern style traditional Gospel music, they will also going to be performing some contemporary Gospel numbers.
Talking about Gospel music, Dominique explains that it is a genre by itself. "It originates from the Blues. It is music that gives out positive vibes. We would love for people to take away something life-giving from the performance," she signs off.
