A long, long time ago, when the only place one had to walk through a metal detector was at the airport security check, and entering a building didn't mean that it was mandatory for a stranger to rifle through one's bag, two girls would skip to the Metsons Library, stocking up on copies of the latest Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys' Case Files.
When they were done, they would walk to the side of the building to buy themselves a glass of apple juice. Like most rituals, there was comfort to be derived from this weekly ritual of theirs. One of the girls recently stopped by for old-time’s sake, only to find that the shop was much smaller than she remembered, and that the apple juice-dispensing machine was under repair. u00a0

She’s happy to report, however, that they still sell apple juice-concentrate in bottles (' 150 for 900 gm), apple juice in tetrapacks (' 15 for 200 ml), as well as squashes and jams. Thankfully, some things don’t change.
