Christabel Menezes was happy doing a '9 to 5 job' in Bengaluru but when she got an offer to be a singer at a joint in Goa a year ago, she took it up and never looked back.u00a0 Ask her how different life is now and she says, "I do not have to spend long hours in office nor do I have to reach office on time. It's not that I don't work hard as a singer but it's a completely different experience. I have made it a point to learn a new song every day and perform it."

Menezes admits that she can't stay at one place for too long. "Pune is the 11th city I have shifted to and I do not plan to stay for more than six months," she states. This traveller has more than 600 songs in her repertoire, covering Pop, Country, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Ballads, Soul, Jive, Club, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rap and Disco.
Her first gig in the city will be a blend of Jazz, romantic ballads and Club music. "The first half will feature nice romantic numbers which will be followed by groovy numbers from the 80s and 90s." Menezes performs covers as well as writes her own songs which she performs alongwith her Mermaid guitar.
