This Friday, head to a puppet show by renowned puppeteer Meena Naik as she showcases how Mumbai was before and how it has tranformed over the years.
For those interested in the city’s history, this sure would be a fun way to learn about its rich history and trace its journey to the current times. The puppet show, Naik informs, looks at four milestones in the city’s history, starting right from the Portuguese period.u00a0

The puppets will then move on to the time of the East India Company, the textile mills boom and then to the freedom struggle. With a variety of coloured puppets, some as tall as two and a half feet, Naik will bring to life the transformation the city underwent over the years. The second part of the show will look at today’s Mumbai and problems like environmental pollution and other issues that form a part of our daily lives.
