Soon cigarettes in Britain will be sold in plain packets with no colour, logos or graphics except for a health warning.

Britain will become the first country in Europe to introduce the measure once it is enshrined in law, Daily Mail reported Monday.

The move is part of the tough new rules on tobacco firms the government plans to announce Wednesday on the national No Smoking Day. Australia and the European parliament are also planning to introduce the measure.
