When 38-year-old software professional and foodie Augustine Correa approached 300 members of Mumbai Meat Marathon, a closed group on Facebook, to recommend good red meat burger options, he received interesting responses. While the list included the usual suspects in Bandra and Colaba, many had also voted for haunts in Malad. “These restaurants are fairly new, so we’ve decided to check them out,” says Correa, who has plotted a burger and steaks trail in the northern suburb tonight. He clarifies, “It’s strictly a red meat burger trail because a good burger can be made only with lamb, pork or beef.”
