The Alliance Francaise and the Goethe-Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai have organised a festival to celebrate the friendship between France and Germany which was laid down in the Elysee Treaty in 1963
Starting today, Mumbai will be abuzz with cultural activities for a week to celebrate the French-German friendship that was signed in 1963 as part of The Elysee Treaty. The Treaty between the French Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) is also known as the Treaty of Friendship. It was established by Charles de Gaulle of France and Konrad Adenauer of west Germany and came into force on July 2, 1963.
