Friends-turned-entrepreneurs Eddie Cruzet and Vishal Shetty were always interested in music. But they soon realised that there was no recognition for fellow musicians especially Disc Jockeys (DJs) who were slowly becoming popular in the Indian music circuit.

u00a0So in 2010, the duo founded myfavdj(.in) — an online portal that gathers the best DJ's of India, who are voted online, and accordingly, nominated for the awards night. Shetty explains, “We realised there was no organised body that recognized DJs in India.The DJ scene was growing rapidly globally and in India and we thought the time was right to launch Myfavdj(.in) in india.”
