If not music what would you have pursued as a career?
I’ve been involved with music for the last 20 years. When I was 14, and I learned from Chris Bismark and practised for six to eight hours. In college, while pursuing a degree in Commerce, I started teaching others and our band began playing at a couple of Catholic weddings. I realised that I could survive on doing music alone and didn’t look back.

Do beginners come with a lot of expectations and misconceptions?
Absolutely. They have watched all their favourite bands and are under the impression that they will be able to play like them in about three months. I make sure they know how much work it is.
