Good news! Those with diabetics can eat up to 12 eggs a week

Eating up to 12 eggs a week does not increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases in people with pre-diabetes or Type-2 diabetes, a new study has found. People with Type-2 diabetes tend to have higher levels of the 'bad' low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, which is a risk factor for heart diseases. As eggs themselves are high in dietary cholesterol, diabetics are generally advised to avoid consuming eggs. However, the findings of the study showed that eggs have little effect on cholesterol levels in the blood of people eating them. The findings are published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. So people suffering from diabetes may finally eat eggs daily without a pinch of guilt.
