How long does the treatment take?
EECP is a 35 day’s treatment in which patient has to come daily for one hour sessions. In EECP blood pressure like cuffs are wrapped around legs and they inflate and deflate in co-ordination with patient heart.
How does EECP help in treating heart blockages?
EECP treatment helps in creating a natural bypass within the heart by forming new vessels and also activating small arterial circulation called collaterals. By doing so the affected part of the heart starts getting blood supply which was deficient due to blockages.
