Gifts are an integral part of Raksha Bandhan celebrations. As per tradition, gifts are given by elder brothers to the sisters in acceptance of their rakhi. They bless their sisters after they have tied the rakhis and offer gifts. In case of younger brothers, sisters give them gifts along with the rakhi. The gifts given on this occasion range from sweets to dry fruits and clothes.
