Facebook-owned instant-messaging client WhatsApp, had announced in August this year of its decision to pass on users' information to its parent company. According to a report by Mirror, although the controversial announcement sparked furore, WhatsApp nevertheless remains the most downloaded app, not just on Android but also on Apple iOS.
