Researchers have had suspected that this phenomenon happened, as drinking raises the secretion of ethanol in sweat, or because it increases body temperature, however, none of these factors correlated with mosquito landings, making their affinity for drinkers a ‘mystery,’ the Washington Times reported.

They also said many other factors - from blood type, metabolism and pregnancy status to the levels of exercise you do and carbon dioxide you emit - play roles.
