Carruthers is a home-based entrepreneur in Virginia, U.S.A. and has over 52,000 followers on Facebook and 22,000 followers on Instagram. Today, he is one of the most sought-after entrepreneur coaches and has helped many people rebuild their professional careers and regain control over their lives. He says, "I met a billionaire when I was working long hours as a real estate agent, and he mentored me on non-linear ways to earn money. That gave me the confidence and knowledge to start my own business."
Carruthers credits his personal and professional development to his mentors who taught him ways to earn money through identifying the right opportunities, having consistency and discipline, even despite the many roadblocks that are bound to come in the way. The only way to succeed is to be hungry enough to take the advice given by those with more experience and learn through the mistakes made on the way without giving up. He adds, "My mentors never let me forget the reason I wanted to start my business and remember the sacrifices I would need to make to build the empire I said I desired. That WHY helped me stay on track through years of ups and downs."
Carruthers is a firm believer that the skills required to succeed are learnable if only there are people willing to share their knowledge and those willing to be taught. Carruthers has personally mentored many and always lends his advice "Stop selling, start solving" irrespective of the business industry. "You make money in this world by solving problems that your audience has. They have problems, you have solutions, they give you money." He comments that constant mentorship is a pillar during good and bad times, and offers a source of positivity that is crucial, especially during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic. "We all need a rock in the river to grab onto, even the best of us," he adds.
He concludes, "Finding the right business model and the right mentor are two of the most important decisions one can take to assure their professional success. Honesty and hard work do the rest of the work."
