Tapan, who hails from Gujarat and has an educational background in IT, is passionately, engaged in wildlife photography, highlighting the little titbits of the natural world. He is currently the director of Sakshi Infoway Pvt. Ltd, a software and web designing company based in Rajkot. But as is said that passion makes an individual to take strides distinct from the ordinary life; he has also mastered the art of balancing profession with passion.
The alchemy of his success extends to the fact that he received the first prize as Nature's Best Photography Asia 2016. He was also the winner of Wildlife Reserves Singapore Group, Through The Lens 2017. Each click of his is acclaimed persona of life and reveals the hidden secrets of the jungle world. From technically sophisticated to simple artistically significant, he captures distinct colours of the wild.
His recent picture of an Asiatic lioness with her cubs, highlighted the unusual. Generally, the animals carry their newborns in their mouths to protect and move them from place to place. Majority of the photographs of lioness show that they carry their cubs by clenching onto their neck. But Tapan's picture captured a rare moment, where the lioness was holding her baby with one leg. This iconic click showcases his patience and flexibility which can be summed in his own words, "When I saw the lioness with her cubs and how she is carrying one of her cubs, I was fascinated. I didn't waste a second, took out my camera and captured that moment. I consider this as one of my best clicks so far.”
Publication of his pictures in companies and media houses including BBC, Apple, National Geographic and Natgeo, validates his aesthetic skills. Above all it is his passion which leads him and he often says, “Forest is my second home".
