Talent exists in remotest parts of India too: Himanshu

Himanshu

Winner of the Moj Digital Superstar Hunt, Himanshu is among the league of social media influencers who’ve found a way to draw an income from the online platform. He says, “I was born in Garatganj, a small village in Madhya Pradesh. I belong to a middle class family. My father is a teacher and a farmer. I wasn’t very good at studies and aspired to have an identity of my own.”

He decided to pursue his love for dance after noticing viewers’ reaction to his first stage performance. “That day, I felt I had shared happiness among people through my dance. I was inspired by this experience, and decided [to give wings] to artiste in me. In the world of entertainment, you get to play diverse roles. I felt this was the world I belonged to. As a content creator, I can also write poetry and stories. Whatever I see and hear in my life, I try to translate into my work.”

As a social media influencer, he now hopes to help people who, like him, have limited means of making a mark. “I want to change the mindset of society and let people know that talent exists in the remotest parts of India too.”
