Global Tiger Day, also known as International Tiger Day, is observed on July 29 every year to spread awareness tiger conservation and to celebrate the efforts of environmentalists and conservationists globally. If you are someone who is curious about wildlife and enjoys learning about animal behaviour, documentaries are a great way of sneaking a close peek. While the sheer volume might seem overwhelming, we have curated a list of exciting wildlife documentaries that will appeal to wildlife enthusiasts.

The World’s Most Famous Tiger
Set in Ranthambore National Park, the 45-minute documentary by National Geographic follows tigress Machli and her three cubs: Unis, Athara, and Satra. As the cubs grow and reach maturity, they must fend for themselves which eventually leaves them in a direct battle against their mother for the coveted lakeside territory Machli has dominated for 11 years. The documentary beautifully depicts tigers in all their glory and captures this dramatic battle of survival, at the end of which the mother emerges victorious.
