'My sister-in-law is too opinionated'

Dear Diana |

Dear Diana, My sister-in-law is extremely overbearing. She has her opinion on everything under the sun.

'My sister-in-law is too opinionated'

If I have a different opinion, she wants me to change my stance. What’s worse is that she thinks she’s right all the time. I can no longer deal with her ‘I’m right and you’re too dumb’ attitude. So much so that I can’t even bear to live in the same house. I avoid her as far as possible but she’s persistent on knowing the reason behind that too.

Dear Saleha,
You just have to live and let live. Just ignore her comments, she will get bored herself and forget the nagging. Talk and listen only when necessary, otherwise keep her at a safe distance. Telling your husband about her behaviour might lead to more chaos. It all depends on how maturely your hubby can handle the situation. Remember blood is thicker than water. As you are living in the same house, there is no point indulging in constant bickering everyday. There are times when you will be exasperated but at that time remember to breathe and calm down.

Diana will solve it!
