I'm a teacher who recently retired. I am single and live with my mother. She's aged and has health issues so a major part of my day is spent caring for her. I don't regret not marrying but I do get lonely sometimes. I try to keep in touch with my students, colleagues and friends. The reason I'm writing to you is I miss teaching kids a lot. Almost my entire life revolved around them and now it feels so empty. If only I was busy and had not retired.u00a0

Dear Fiza,
I can understand the void you feel in your life. You have devoted your entire life to the noble profession of teaching, so what stops your from giving private tuitions from home? This way you can care for your ailing mother as well as pursue what you love to dou00a0-- teaching. You can start with a small batch and depending upon the response, you can even rent a premise at a later stage. Or you could even give private tutions at the student's place. As for your loneliness, it was your choice not to get married. But you do have students for company besides you can now indulge in what you always wanted to do but never had time for before.
