Dear Diana,
I sometimes feel that my husband hates me. And I feel this way because of his actions. When we first met, he was the outgoing, partying type while I was always a homebody (still am to this day). When we came together, he stopped it all for me. I did not ask him to, he did it on his own. Thing is, whenever I'm down, I can't talk to him about it because it upsets him. I would do anything for this man but he really hurts my feelings. He once told me he wishes he were dead over a simple argument ufffd and all I wanted was to spend time with him. Because of all this, I feel he hates me. I want him to say he loves me. He says he does but it isn't heartfelt. How do I get through to him? I have told him as much but he doesn't get it.

Dear Friend,
It sure doesn't bode well for your marriage if that is his attitude to the situation. It appears that you are sincerely trying to salvage what's left. At this rate, let go of him if that is what he wants.u00a0 Holding on to him obviously isn't what he wants. Have you asked him what it is that is making him so unhappy? Or is there someone else? I'm not saying there is, but you need to lay the cards on the table. And if he still wants to hurt your feelings, I don't think there is anything else you can do. Give him space, tell him he has a month to make up his mind, and that once he has, there will be no turning back. You cannot be expected to continue living like this. You deserve to be happy, too.
My friend wants to have unprotected sex!
Dear Diana,
My friend is planning on having unprotected sex with her boyfriend and I'm seriously worried she'll end up pregnant at 17. But she won't listen to me when I tell her to get on the pill or use a condom. I don't know what do to get her to listen? She's crazy in love and lust ufffd

Dearu00a0 Friend,
There is little you can do if she has made up her mind, just continue to be there to support her if she does get pregnant. You could have a quiet word with her mother. She will understand how much you value her daughter's friendship by looking out for her this way. At 17, she is very young to be getting pregnant, and my guess is she will be left holding the baby.
I have hair everywhere!
Dear Diana,
I am a 20-year-old girl. Since the age of 11 or so, I've been ridiculously hairy. Kids used to tease me about it but I wouldn't let it get to me. It wasn't until I reached high school that it really started to bother me. I have hair on my upper lip, chin and breasts but I can't seem to get rid of it. The chin hair is easily removed but it seems like there's nothing I can do about the upper lip and chest hair. I've shaved the chest hair but it just grows back. About my upper lip, I've tried home waxing but I'm left with a shadow. I don't know what to do. Help!

Dear Friend,
This is a problem for your doctor, not for your beautician. What you describe sounds like "hirsutism", and may occur due to different causes, but most often to an hormonal imbalance. See your physician and / or an endocrinologist. The last resort would be opting for laser surgery to get rid of all this excess hair. Don't shave your chest hair as it is bound to come back quicker and stiffer. Make that appointment ASAP. And don't let this condition get you down The sooner you reach to the root of the problem, the quicker you can work on remedying it.
