Dear Diana, I have a 19-year-old daughter from my first marriage and a six-year-old son from my second. I am 43 and my hubby is 48. He now wants me to have a second child
All this while he was not keen as he would say the family is complete with a son and daughter. I have said a firm no to him and ever since he has started behaving odd with me. This has caused a serious dent in our married life. How do I knock sense into him?

Dear Arwa,
There must be a reason that has triggered these thoughts in your hubby. Perhaps he feels that your son needs a sibling more closer to his age group as there is a 13 year difference between the two. Or he feels he needs another biological child. Weighing all the options, you need to talk to him considering your age. There are many women who conceive even post 40 nowadays. But if you are not prepared for motherhood for the third time, you need to explain to him why. Be frank and forthright and tell him your fears and the reasons for not doing so.
