Twitter Travel Contest: What is your favourite weekend destination near Mumbai?

Love to tweet and travel? Here's a travel writing contest where you get to show off your skills as a travel writer

There are various destinations close to the city where you can escape its chaos. From popular hangouts like Lonavala with its chikki and fudge treats, the beaches of Alibaug, quaint and green pastures of Malshej Ghat, to boating in Bhandardara — a two-hour drive from the city can transport you to another world.

Now, here’s your chance to put your writing and editing skills to test and share your travel story in two tweets. Pick a destination of your choice that is close to the city and tweet to us with the hashtag #mumbaiescape followed by your story and @mid_day. Both tweets should mention the hashtag and mid-day’s Twitter handle.
