Pub chain Doolally's annual event, Beer Olympics, will be held for the first time in aamchi Mumbai this weekend. Best described as a mix of daytime drinking and competitive gaming, it is an ideal opportunity for beer lovers to congregate over their favourite drink.

Its genesis lies in a shared love for beer seen among not just those who visit the brewery, but also the ones who work the:re. "We believe that beer drinking is a legitimate sport and that the champions should be celebrated," says Pranavi Sra from Doolally.
So, for the eighth edition of Beer Olympics — which thus far has been held in the microbrewery's Pune outlet — new games like Colour Brain and Hacky Sack are set to test the participants on their athletic and mental skills, while under the influence of course. The event, which is open to 15 teams of four people each, will see them competing against each other, with five teams making it to the finals.
The participants and finalists will win free beer, and various other goodies including merchandise and food. The winners get the coveted Golden Mug. We say, attend this event not only for the day-long revelry, but also to get a taste of a new batch of beer crafted by the brewery, especially for this occasion.
