A concert this Sunday will reintroduce the splendor of the 15th-century Adalaj ni Vav by way of thematic fusion music and stellar lighting

Adalaj ni Vav lit up for the Water Festival.
Are you fond of live music and do you appreciate architecture? This Sunday, a one-of-a-kind immersive experience awaits you. Combining the allure of the 15th century Adalaj ni Vav and the soulfulness of classical and folk music, Crraft of Art brings to you the Water Festival, an annual musical concert held at the iconic step-well.
When asked why she chose Adalaj ni Vav, Founder and artist Birwa Qureshi said, “Adalaj ni vav and Water Festival are symbiotic. How could one miss the mystique, romance, and ‘peopleness’ of the Vav? A step-well is a utility structure. I imagined women fetching water and heard their anklets ringing and singing. That brought music as a tool in presenting the monument.”
