Since 2015, NGO platform ConnectFor has been connecting volunteers with suitable NGOs and organising events for their beneficiaries. Even as the pandemic struck, the organisation found a way to keep activities going, through their virtual volunteering system. This Sunday, along with partner NGO Play and Shine Foundation, they are preparing to conduct another event; this time, it’s a sports quiz on the occasion of National Sports Day that falls on August 29, and are inviting volunteers to sign up for the cause. “This is to help the children understand the different kinds of sports played today. It will focus on categories like famous sports players, rules of several games and other important events in sporting history. The opportunity to facilitate this is open to anybody who wishes to volunteer and contribute their skills, as well as spend some time virtually with the young ones,” says Sneha Suryawanshi, associate at ConnectFor.
