Meaning: Ghai is a Marathi word that means ‘to be in a hurry’. I started using it in my first year in Mumbai since it’s apt for the city — we are always running late here because of the traffic and chaos. Even if you ask a cabbie who is honking incessantly what his problem is, he will say, “Mere ko ghai hai.”
