Soap brows are all the rage on social media for being simple, affordable and natural-looking. Beauty mavens share how to get it right
Indu Srimal demonstrates the technique using a bar of glycerine soap
The evolution of make-up routines has seen the introduction of newer and highly specialised products. For beauty lovers, it can be difficult to keep up. This is possibly why beauty gurus on social media have been advocating ditching expensive eyebrow products and using the humble bar soap instead to groom your brows. “With thick, fluffy brows becoming popular, the use of long-lasting gels and pomades that hold the hair in place has also risen. However, using soap on brows is a trick that’s often harnessed by make-up artists, because soap offers more hold, lasts longer and is also much cheaper,” shares celebrity makeup artist Avni Rambhia.

To copy this trend, beauty blogger Indu Srimal advises using a good quality glycerine soap, a spoolie brush and setting spray. Dampen the brush with setting spray or water and use it to apply the soap in thin layers to your brows. Brush your eyebrows upwards and outwards,” she says. While brow gels are applied as the final coat, use powders or other products to fill in gaps after using the soap to set your brows, Rambhia adds.
