The walls of performance space IF.BE, are ready to resonate with the soulful melodies and poetic verses of Kavita Seth and Dipti Misra this weekend. It will be the duo’s first joint act since the pandemic. Titled Luminance of Verse, the show is a 90-minute concert that flawlessly aligns with the theme of offering centering and calming experiences. It falls under Sunn by IF.BE — a weekend of workshops thoughtfully tailored for inner exploration and introspection among attendees.
With several commercial hits in Hindi film music industry, Seth hails from a background of Hindustani classical music. She is also an exemplary ghazal and Sufi music artiste. Her co-performer Dipti Misra is a respected poet with a career spanning decades. Misra’s enchanting recitals and famous poetry publications such as Hai to Hai and Baat Dil ki Keh to Den have gained her global acclaim. When asked about her contemporary, Seth shares, “I believe Dipti [Misra] is the Indian Parveen Shakir. She is one of the few Indian names who can write the exact emotions they feel with courage. Her poems seem to be mirroring my story. Rehearsals with her are always organic and full of fun; I am very excited for our upcoming performance as well.”
