Generally, when open mic-ers perform at a stand-up show, they’re terrified of bombing, points out comedian Kajol Srinivasan. Along with Abbas Momin and Andy Reghu, Srinivasan is thus organising a virtual open mic called Gimme Your Worst Joke! to create a positive atmosphere where it’s okay to bomb.

Participants will deliver their most cringe-worthy PJs for viewers, who’ll get to pick the winner. “Even if you don’t win, you’re actually a winner because your jokes are good,” shares Srinivasan. During the performances, viewers can hold up any red card/object if they feel the jokes are too good, she adds.  “The viewers buy the winner a pizza, and we donate the  profits to the non-profit organisation, Khaana Chahiye.”
