Get your hands on cool thrifted designer wear, accessories, records and books at a pop-up in Powai

Pre-loved happiness

Streetwear and a PJ set from their collection

Small thrift stores on Instagram that sell everything from limited-edition vintage shirts to unique home decor don’t just contribute to circular fashion; they lend us the imagination of others to jazz up our wardrobes, homes and lives. But very often, it’s difficult to gauge sizing, material and the look and feel from a picture. And that’s why heading to city-based thrift shop Bombay Closet Cleanse’s upcoming pop-up in Powai might be a good idea.

After conducting thrift donation drives, Bombay Closet Cleanse, too, started off as an Instagram thrift store, before setting up shop in Bandra in 2021. Founder Sana Khan tells us that the pop-up will offer a curation of thrifted gems, from luxury and branded wear to funky accessories, along with coffee table books, records and knick-knacks. “There will be some great deals on branded and designer clothing and bags; there’ll be apparel starting at R99. There will also be a small section dedicated to locally made block-printed shirts, PJ sets and robes,” shares Khan.

Apart from thrifted finds, one can check out clean beauty products and snack on vegan dessert jars and cookies by Yours Confectionally By Jess, a bakery by Jessica Arora. There will also be a tarot booth set up by Mamta Sawhney, Khan reveals.

On: February 19, 12 pm to 6 pm
At: Episode One, Binge Central, Delphi Building, Hiranandani Gardens, Powai.
