Being a grown-up can be tough and Netflix’s animated sitcom Close Enough makes that abundantly clear, in its unique way. The first time I watched the show, I wasn’t sure what to make of it — the absurd storylines, quirky characters, and over-the-top references were overwhelming, yet funny.

By the time the second season began last month, I began to grasp the concept. The story follows the lives of a couple trying to raise their daughter well, while coping with everyday struggles. The show serves as a great weekend entertainment escape, helping you to leave all your banal worries  and stress behind.
