The popular American band, Jimmy Eat World, performed an unforgettable livestream in early 2021. The offering was lauded as one of their best performances, and the livestream was an instant hit. Slowly but surely, the band has revived their past fortunes by belting out some of their memorable tunes. The band has now released their livestreams for everyone to listen to across music streaming platforms over three weeks.
The band was supposed to go on a global tour for their 2019 album Surviving, before the world descended into chaos. The members covered their highly popular back catalogue returning to their acclaimed 1999 record, Clarity. The Phoenix Sessions trilogy focuses on three particular albums: Clarity (1999), Futures (2004) and Surviving (2019). All albums have been aptly titled for the new virus-ridden world that we live in. The choice of songs for these sessions catches our attention because of their varied, high-energy sounds.
