The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Maharashtra has arr-ested a lady clerk who works in the office of the additional director general of police of Railways for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 2,000. The complainant, who works as a nurse at railway police hospital in Kadki, Pune had recently spent around Rs 2,50,000 on her son’s surgery.

When she sent the medical bill to the Railways head office claiming the reimbursement she is entitled to, the clerk, identified as Chandrabhaga Dilip Jadhav, demanded the bribe to process the documents.
“She demanded Rs 2,000 from the complainant to get the bill cleared and asked her to deposit the money at the Rasta Peth branch of Bank of Maharashtra in Pune through RTGS (Real Time Gross Settlement).
The nurse deposited the money as per the demand and then approached the ACB with the receipt which prompted us to arrest Jhadhav,” said Pravin Dixit, director general of police (Anti Corruption).
