Stepfather arrested for raping 10-yr-old

A 33-year-old man was arrested here for raping his 10-year-old stepdaughter, police said.

"The victim's mother, who lives in Majnu Ka Tila area in north Delhi, approached police Saturday and said that her daughter was raped by her husband," said an officer.

A medical examination of the victim confirmed rape.

Police said yesterday, that victim's mother, a labourer, was not at home when the incident took place Saturday morning. The victim told her mother when she returned.

The accused, who is unemployed, used to drink regularly, police said.
