The woman, a former research scholar at the varsity's Hindi department, has said in her complaint to Maurice Nagar police station that she was manhandled on several occasions by the librarian when she visited there.
"I used to have a seat in the library when I was pursuing research. However, after submission of my thesis they never permitted me even inside the reading room. When I tried to go he manhandled me, used foul language and mentally harassed me several times," the woman alleged.
However, senior police officials have denied registering any FIR in this connection.
The DU librarian, when contacted, also denied the charge and said, "All these allegations are false. The only people who are allotted seats in the library are either research scholars, professors or students and now she is none of them.
I had politely conveyed it to her. I never manhandled her."
"I have conveyed the same to the proctor office as well," he added.
