Accused lies every time he is questioned, say cops; two Maharashtra police personnel leave for Chhattisgarh for inquiry

Two vehicles coming from Odisha were searched by Bastar Police from which the officers recovered 150 kg cannabis
A police constable from Mira-Bhayander Vasai Virar headquarter, who was among the seven accused nabbed by Chhattisgarh police for smuggling cannabis, is not cooperating with the investigation, the police have said.
B R Naag, inspector attached to Nagarnar police station, said, “Constable Mohd Sajid Pathan is lying every time he is questioned about the crime. He has said that he visited Chhattisgarh to attend a wedding function and was heading to Mumbai by Innova car, in which 80 kg of cannabis was recovered.”
