Saurabh Tripathi has been absconding for the past two weeks; DCP`s name cropped up after two officers were arrested for allegedly extorting money from courier workers

A DCP-rank IPS officer Saurabh Tripathi has been declared absconding, in an ongoing angadia firm extortion case probe, by the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU) of Mumbai Crime Branch.
Tripathi was on the run since the FIR was registered against two officers — assistant inspector Nitin Kadam and sub-inspector Samadhan Jamdade. Both officers, attached to the LT Marg police station, were arrested by CIU. Later, inspector Om Vangate was also arrested in the case.
