Even after being blinded by chilli spray, a 32-year-old constable from Kurar police station managed to arrest a robber on the first day of the year. The arrested accused is part of a gang of four who were allegedly out to rob liquor shops in Kurar, said sources. 

The incident took place on the night of January 1. In view of the restrictions imposed in the city during the new years, police patrolling and blockades were ordered to maintain law and order and crack down on criminals and violators.
