The children at the Khadavali-based Bal Ashram were treated with electric shocks, claim Kalyan Taluka police, who are investigating the matter of 29 children being mentally and physically abused at the shelter home.
Speaking to mid-day, Suresh Kadam, senior inspector, Kalyan Taluka police, said, “We are trying to talk to the children about the incident. We have received information that the staff used to give them electric shocks.”
