Kolkata midnight horror: Former Miss India attacked, cab vandalised

Following the attack, Ushoshi Sengupta posted about the incident on Facebook where she claimed that the gang of miscreants tried to drag her out when she was dropping her colleague.

Kolkata: Former Miss India Universe 2010 Ushoshi Sengupta was attacked on Tuesday and her cab was also vandalised while coming back from a five-star hotel in Kolkata. Seven persons were arrested on Tuesday in this connection a senior Kolkata Police officer said.

Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police, Crime, Praveen Tripathi said, "Seven persons identified as Sheik Rahit, Fardin Khan, Sk. Sabir Ali, Sk. Gani, Sk. Imran Ali, Sk. Wasim and Atif Khan have been arrested on Tuesday for allegedly harassing the complainant, assaulting an Uber driver and vandalising the cab. A detailed inquiry is going on into the case."
