The Hadapsar police have booked a 27-year-old man who allegedly attempted suicide after slashing his five-year-old son&rsquo;s neck on Saturday evening. Both the father and son have been admitted to a private hospital in Bhekrainagar and are undergoing treatment.

A case of attempt to murder and attempted suicide has been registered against Shrimant Siddappa Kamble. Shrimant allegedly slashed his son Ramchandra&rsquo;s neck with a blade and later his own. Ramchandra&lsquo;s mother Reshma has filed the complaint. According to her statement, she got married to Shrimant Kamble six years ago, but she had been staying separately.
Kamble had been threatening her that she should return home or else he would kill their son and then commit suicide. When Reshma refused to return, Kamble tried to kill his son and later slashed himself with a blade. Assistant police inspector S S Gore said that they have seized the blade used for the crime. Kamble is undergoing treatment.
