A 38-year-old man was arrested for allegedly abusing and assaulting a Marathi film actress, who is also the wife of an officer from a central agency. The police accused Pritam Verma got into a scuffle with the actress on February 26 near Jain Hospital at Goregaon West.  Verma lives in Motilal Nagar and used to work in the BPO sector. He is currently jobless.

At the time of the incident, Verma and the complainant were driving their cars in opposite directions. They came face to face on a road already narrowed by parked vehicles on both sides and could not move ahead.
