The Santacruz police arrested leading Telugu actress Naira Shah and her friend in the wee hours of Monday from a five-star hotel at Juhu. The actress was celebrating her birthday with her friends. According to the police, they found Shah and her friend consuming charas. The duo were produced before the Bandra court which granted bail to them.

According to the Santacruz police, they received information that a narcotic substance was being used in the birthday bash of a leading film actress in the hotel where a bunch of people who belong to the film industry were also present. The police first sent its team in plain clothes to get confirmation and a raid was conducted at 3am.
