The Narcotics Control Bureau Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has written to the DGP of Maharashtra, complaining that the local police are keeping an eye on his movements. Wankhede, in his complaint, claimed that cops suspected to be attached to Oshiwara police station, have taken CCTV footage of Oshiwara cemetery which he visits on a daily basis to pay respects to his mother before going to work.
Wankhede’s mother passed away in 2015 and was buried in Oshiwara Qabristan. Wankhede, in his complaint, also claimed that a minister’s daughter took the CCTV footage in a pen drive and he doesn’t know what their intentions are behind this. ”On September 7 two local cops also took the footage from the Qabristan’s trustee, in which Wankhede can be seen entering and exiting the cemetery. The Qabristan authorities also informed Wankhede about the same,” a source from NCB said.
