Mumbai crime: A woman was allegedly duped of lakhs of rupees after a man, posing as a cop reached out to her and told her that her official government document had been misused, an official said on Thursday.
The police said, the fraudster, pretending to be Deputy Commissioner of Police of Mumbai Cyber Cell branch and an officer of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) contacted the woman and then extorted Rs 5.85 lakhs from her.
