The 31-year-old survivor alleged that Khan made advances to her for a year and even misbehaved with her. She joined the Fashion TV India’s Lower Parel office in March last year and would accompany Khan on business meetings. During one such trip to Goa, Khan touched her inappropriately, alleged the survivor, adding that he apologised when she protested. A similar incident happened during their trip to Hyderabad, and when she threatened to quit, he apologised again.
On February 20, Khan called the woman to a five-star hotel in Juhu, saying there was a meeting. Khan told her a client was waiting for them at the suite, but when they went to the room there was no one, according to her complaint.
Khan started kissing her and forced himself upon her when she protested. “He raped me. When I said I will file a police complaint, he laughed and said he had recorded everything and would make it viral if she went to the police,” the complaint stated. “Next day, I called him and asked him to delete the video. He asked me to meet him at the same hotel on the pretext of apologising and deleting the video in my presence. But he raped me again,” it added.
The survivor went to the Oshiwara police station on March 4 and a case of molestation was filed. She lodged a rape complaint on March 21. Khan has been booked under IPC (rape) and the IT Act. He did not respond to mid-day’s repeated calls and messages.
