The Kurar police have arrested a minor girl’s boyfriend and her mother on the charge of forcing the girl to abandon her newborn baby.

Sources said the police were alerted about the body of a premature baby dumped close to a community toilet at Dudhnath Dubey Chawl in Malad East on July 19. They formed three teams with women cops to crack the case. The police began searching for women who were pregnant.
